This 30-year-old single grain whisky, distilled in 1995 and matured in a refill hogshead, was released at 50.2% ABV. Long-aged single grain whiskies often display a particularly smooth and polished character, with the refill hogshead allowing that maturity to shine without excessive wood influence. On the nose, expect vanilla fudge, light coconut, honey and polished oak. The palate is smooth and rounded, revealing caramel, sweet grain, soft spice and gentle oak notes.
