About
Daftmill 2012 is a rare expression from this small, family-run farm distillery in Fife, Scotland. This Lowland single malt showcases the distinctive character of genuine farm distilling, where the Cuthbert brothers personally tend to the grains used in production. It's an elegant and refined dram that impresses with its masterfully composed aromatic palette. On the nose, fruity and waxy notes emerge with ripe pears, green apples, hints of banana, and subtle citrus accents. The palate reveals a thick, oily texture with layers of honeyed vanilla, tropical fruit notes including cantaloup, lemon, and pink grapefruit, complemented by malty biscuits. The finish is clean and grassy with good length, dominated by citrus and orange notes with a delicate hint of coriander in the aftertaste.
