About
This Loch Lomond 16-year-old Single Malt from the Waypoint Series is a refined expression crafted in the distillery's distinctive Swan Neck stills. Matured primarily in ex-bourbon American oak casks for most of its life, it receives an elegant finishing touch with a year in ex-Cognac casks, adding a layer of sophisticated complexity. On the nose, expect soft citrus and honey blossom with hints of almond and orchard fruit. The palate reveals stewed apple, honeysuckle, and honey, enhanced by subtle vanilla and toffee notes from the maturation. The finish is medium-length and drier, with evident oak and cappuccino character that fades gracefully, leaving a spiced, sophisticated aftertaste.
