The Stobcross from The Clydeside Distillery is a fresh and approachable Lowland Single Malt that embraces the playful character of youthful Scottish whisky. This inaugural release from Glasgow-based The Clydeside Distillery was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The nose proudly displays a sweet, fruity profile with tropical notes of pineapple, mango and pear, rounded out by honey and vanilla. On the palate, this dram proves more robust than expected; the bright fruitiness gives way to pepper and liquorice, with dried spice notes adding complexity. The finish is beautifully balanced, with toffee and peppery notes dancing gracefully on the taste buds.
