Linkwood, a distinguished Speyside distillery established in 1821, crafts elegant and fruit-forward single malts. This 2010 PDnl represents the distillery's youthful vigour, matured in an Oloroso Sherry Butt and bottled at cask strength (52.5%). The whisky balances rich fruit character with warming spice and sherry influence. On the nose, vibrant citrus and tropical fruit aromas take centre stage, complemented by caramel and toffee notes from the sherry cask. The palate is mouth-coating and rich, delivering the same fruity profile alongside ginger and cinnamon spice. The finish is dry and peppery, with assertive oak tannins gradually subsiding, leaving an appealing bitter edge that defines the spirit's youthful intensity.
