Bøg

Thy Bøg is an organic Danish single malt whisky produced at the family-owned Thy Whisky Distillery, situated on the Gyrup estate along Denmark's windswept west coast. This whisky's distinctive character emerges from beechwood smoking and maturation in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, creating a rich, layered expression with maritime undertones.

The nose reveals an inviting bouquet of blackberry, bramble, and strawberry, complemented by subtle smoke that harmonises beautifully with the fruit. Maritime and fresh bread notes add further complexity. On the palate, Bøg maintains this fruit-smoke balance, with warm, smoky flavours and pronounced sherry influence. The finish lingers pleasantly, with persistent peat smoke and lingering fruity notes that echo the nose.
