Peat Chimney Batch Strength 002 is a bold blended malt Scotch whisky from Wemyss Malts, bottled at full strength (57%). This limited edition combines carefully selected peated malts that are married together and finished in Sherry Hogshead casks, adding tannic spices and depth. The result is a complex, somewhat ambivalent whisky with sharp characteristics and green moments that shift noticeably between nose and palate.

The nose reveals a strong maritime influence with seared scallops and charred seaweed aromas, complemented by dried fruit and black pepper notes. On the palate, peaty and spicy elements dominate with caramel undertones, though the whisky's youthful character shows considerable development potential. The finish is dry and persistent, with smoky oak and mineral texture. Water is essential to unlock the hidden layers of this exceptional pour.
