The Sändebud is a pioneering fusion of Scottish and Swedish single malt whiskies, a collaboration between Ardnamurchan distillery in Scotland and High Coast distillery in Sweden. This unique blended malt brings together the finest from both nations and was created in honour of Colin Campbell, a Scottish lawyer turned merchant. At 58.9% ABV, this is a powerful and expressive dram. The nose reveals a complex interplay of peated malt, honey, and apple notes, complemented by spice and a hint of ashy bonfire smoke. On the palate, smoky and bold characteristics dominate, with honey, savoury malt, and apple-like fruitiness breaking through the smoke. The finish is long and lingering, with persistent ashy bonfire embers that gradually fade, supported by the warming intensity of the high alcohol content.
