This 2015 blended malt from North Star Spirits marries malts from Springbank and Glen Scotia into a complex, full-bodied expression. Bottled at 50.7% ABV and matured in first fill and refill hogsheads, it delivers an intriguing balance of maritime and spicy character. The nose reveals vanilla, lemon zest, and briny sea air, while the palate unfolds with sea salt minerality, white pepper, warm spices, and a touch of clove. The finish is grippy and tannic with lingering oak and spice. A robust, characterful dram that rewards patient exploration and pairs well with smoked seafood or rich cheese.
