2000 NSS

Vega 2000 NSS is a blended malt from independent bottler North Star Spirits, distilled in 2000 and matured for 20 years in American and European oak sherry casks. This non-chill filtered expression showcases the rewards of patient maturation, balancing the complexity of multiple sherried malts into a harmonious whole. Bottled at 43.5% ABV, it retains the full depth of character developed during two decades in wood.

The nose opens with sweet and sour stewed fruit—plums, dates, and dried figs take centre stage. The palate reveals rich sherried complexity: chocolate, raisins, and figs are complemented by peppery oak and subtle vanilla notes. The finish is medium-length, fading with tobacco, aged wood, and the classic old-style sherry character that lingers pleasantly.
