About
Inchfad is a rare single malt from the Highlands, sourced from the legendary Loch Lomond distillery. This 2017 bottling by Claxton's is a youthful and characterful whisky, matured in a Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead that imparts a rich, fruity foundation. At 50% ABV, this young dram displays the fiery spirit of classic Scottish distilling. The nose and palate deliver a compelling interplay of smoke, peaty character and citrus fruit, complemented by warming spices and subtle woody undertones. The palate is fierce and flavourful, leading with peat smoke, wood smoke and chili pepper, with a slightly syrupy texture. The finish is short but elegant, driven by dried orange peel, gentle woody and spicy notes with a soft bitter edge that underscores the youthful vigour of this bottling.
