Hazelburn 2017 is an unfiltered single malt from Campbeltown, Scotland, produced by Springbank Distillery. This 8-year-old expression is triple-distilled and matured in Oloroso sherry casks, delivering a rich, full-bodied whisky with refined sweet characteristics. The nose reveals honeyed notes, dried yellow and red fruits, with subtle cinnamon and cocoa powder aromas that provide a welcoming introduction. On the palate, toffee, vanilla, and caramel emerge, supported by dried fruit flavours such as raisins and apricots. Citrus notes of orange and cranberry add brightness to the full mouthfeel and mouth-coating texture. The finish is long and enjoyable, beginning with sweet orchard fruits that gradually fade to mild black pepper and dark chocolate-covered raisins.
