About
The Arran Malt is an approachable single malt from the Isle of Arran, characterised by its soft, fruity profile without the smoky character typical of some island whiskies. This ten-year-old expression has matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks with a touch of ex-sherry wood, creating a well-balanced and genuinely enjoyable dram. It represents the distillery's 'Highland-style' approach—elegant and refined rather than heavily peated. The nose reveals inviting honey, fresh fruit, and malty grain, with pleasant notes of green apple and pear. On the palate, the whisky unfolds with a rich, syrupy texture, layered with vanilla, tropical fruits, and malty biscuits. The finish is warm and lingering, with a satisfying blend of fruit and sweetness that gradually fades, leaving a gentle, warming aftertaste.
