Track 03 Purple Haze

Track 01 Joy. Discovery. Invention.
Track 02 Firestarter
Turntable Spirits, founded by brothers Alasdair and Gordon Stevenson, merges two passions: music and whisky. Track.02: Firestarter is named after the iconic Jimi Hendrix song and forms the second release in their 'album' of six limited-edition blended whiskies. The name captures the intensity and creative spark the brothers bring to their craft.
This blend pairs west coast peat from Caol Ila (matured in virgin oak) with grain whiskies from Cameronbridge and Invergordon, rounded out by Benrinnes matured in Chinkapin barrel. The combination of virgin oak and traditional casks creates an interesting tension between new wood influence and classic blended Scotch character.
On the nose: campfire smoke and dried seaweed, with citrus and tropical fruit notes emerging. The palate is creamy and textured, offering vanilla, toffee, and a saline edge that speaks to the peat's presence. The finish is clean, smoky, and slightly burnt—a deliberate intensity that justifies the name.
A blended Scotch that challenges expectations: not a compromise, but a carefully composed whole where peat, grain, and oak reinforce one another.
