The Glenfarclas Easter Edition 2016 is a full-bodied, rounded Speyside single malt matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. This limited release showcases the rich influence of sherry maturation with intense dark chocolate notes and complex sherry nuances. The whisky's substantial body and amber hue reflect years of interaction with premium oak. The nose reveals complex sherry aromas accompanied by pronounced fruity impressions and elegant dark chocolate hints. On the palate, Oloroso sweetness dominates alongside dark chocolate and caramelised fruit, complemented by malty grain and spicy oak character. The finish is pleasantly warming and medium to long, with lingering sherry warmth.
