2003 Chapter 7
Track 04 One Way Or Another
Turntable Spirits is a Glasgow-based blending house founded by brothers Ally and Gordon Stevenson, who bring over twenty years of combined experience, including time spent working under Billy Walker at Glendronach and Glenallachie. Track 4 'One Way Or Another' was born from their fascination with vintage grain whisky casks and a deliberate push to challenge what blended Scotch can be.
The blend is 78% grain whisky—Strathclyde, Invergordon, and Cameronbridge finished in bourbon, red wine, Marsala, and Madeira casks—plus 22% Linkwood single malt. This grain-forward composition gives the dram its characteristic lightness and approachability.
The nose opens with citrus and fresh fruit, followed by pear and tropical notes. The palate brings caramel sweetness and hazelnut, supported by a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is warm and lingering, with peppery spice and toffee fading gracefully. The nostalgia Turntable references—salted caramel, fresh citrus, walnuts, warm banana—emerges naturally, without contrivance.
