Kilchoman Maury Cask Matured is a limited edition single malt whisky from the Kilchoman distillery on Islay. This whisky is entirely matured in Maury casks, a fortified wine from the Roussillon region in Southern France, made from Grenache Noir grapes. The aging in these dessert wine casks imparts a sweet and complex character that harmonizes perfectly with Kilchoman's signature light smoky profile. On the nose, rich aromas of figs, raisins, and dates are highlighted with salted caramel and orange peel, accompanied by soft peat smoke. The palate reveals notes of pipe smoke and dark chocolate, layered with treacle and warming spices. The finish offers dried fruits, cacao, and earthy peat smoke, with a gentle dry spice rounding it off. This expression is perfect for savoring post a hearty meal.
