The Dalmore 17 Year Old is an elegant addition to The Dalmore's Highland single malt collection. Positioned between the 15 and 18-year-old expressions, it offers a sweeter, more delicately balanced profile. Initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, it develops notes of sweet vanilla and warming nutmeg. The whisky is then refined in a selection of exceptional Oloroso sherry casks, including Amoroso, Apostoles, and Matusalem casks from Gonzalez Byass. On the nose, this whisky presents vibrant notes of Seville oranges and rich fresh orchard fruits, with balanced oak spice. The palate reveals poached pears, forest berries, sweet toffee, and glossy orange marmalade. The finish is luxurious, featuring dark chocolate orange, dried fruit, and lingering wood spice. Perfect for pairing with dark chocolate or a rich cheese board.
