Final Fantasy

The Eternal Reserve
Teeling Single Grain carries the weight of a family legacy stretching back to 1782, when Walter Teeling founded his distillery on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin's Liberties. After the distillery closed in 1923, brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling—sons of John Teeling, who revived Irish whiskey through Cooley Distillery in 1987—resurrected the original phoenix. Production resumed in 2015, reconnecting with that historic foundation.
The whisky is built on an unconventional grain bill: 95% corn and 5% malted barley—a composition rare in Irish whiskey. Maturation spans multiple cask types, including Cabernet Sauvignon hogsheads from Napa Valley, bourbon barrels, and rum casks, each layer adding its own inflection to the final spirit.
What emerges is light yet full-bodied, with green apple, stewed pear, and vanilla on the nose. The palate delivers a burst of toffee and caramel, framed by subtle spice and creamy texture. The finish holds sweetness—brown sugar and cinnamon—without heaviness, making this an approachable but layered dram.
