Talisker
Talisker was founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the Isle of Skye, named after Hugh's estate. The distillery sits dramatically on the shores of Loch Harport and has remained one of Scotland's most iconic whisky destinations. Talisker is renowned for its powerful, peppery character—a signature born from the unique blend of peat smoke and the raw, salty influences of island life.
This is a whisky that refuses subtlety. The nose delivers smoke and pepper upfront, followed by sweet notes of honey and vanilla. On the palate, an intense, spicy sensation unfolds with pronounced peat, balanced by fruity accents—pear and melon offer moments of relief. The finish is long and warming, with lingering pepper and a whisper of coastal air.
Talisker is a whisky for those who embrace bold, characterful drams. It is no compromise, but a statement—ideal for anyone who appreciates the rugged nature of island whisky.
