Old Forester Single Barrel
Sadler's Peaky Blinder is an Irish blended whisky named after the infamous street gang of 19th-century Birmingham and the Black Country — the very region where Sadler's Distillery itself is rooted. The name is no marketing afterthought: the Peaky Blinders gang operated in the same industrial heartland that shaped the distillery's identity. The label features one of the gang's members, anchoring the bottle to its historical inspiration.
Triple-distilled and finished in sherry casks, this whisky delivers a full-bodied, smooth character. The blend of grain and malt whiskies creates an approachable profile that carries its considerable 60% ABV with presence rather than aggression.
The nose opens with blackcurrant and apple, layered beneath hints of toffee. The palate unfolds melted chocolate, apricots, and dried citrus peel, joined by cracked pepper and ginger spice. The finish is warm and lingering, leaving traces of cinnamon and copper on the palate.
