Currach takes its name from a traditional Irish fishing boat, and that maritime heritage shapes the entire project. Founder Patrick Shelley created this single malt around Atlantic Wakame—a green seaweed sustainably hand-harvested from the Irish coast—and used it in an unconventional toasting process for the casks. The result is unlike any other Irish whiskey.

Made from 100% Irish malted barley and triple-distilled, this single malt matures in specially prepared American oak casks. The seaweed-charring imparts a distinctive, smoky dimension that moves beyond typical Irish character.
