Bushmills has claimed the title of the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery since 1608, drawing water from the River Bush in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The Black Bush 80/20 PX Sherry Cask Reserve builds on this lineage with deliberate craft: 80% single malt, 20% small-batch Irish grain whiskey, both finished in Pedro Ximénez casks. Master Distiller Colum Egan notes that these casks add depth and complexity while preserving the signature Black Bush profile.
The triple-distilled blend is matured and finished in hand-selected Pedro Ximénez casks, giving it a deep apricot-gold hue. The malt provides structure; the grain whiskey contributes lightness and refinement.
