Bushmills launched the Caribbean Rum Cask Finish in April 2021 as the inaugural release in its new Cask Finish series. This blended Irish whisky marries single malt and triple-distilled grain whisky, both initially matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, then finished in Caribbean rum casks that had held rum for a minimum of seven years.

The rum casks were hand-selected by local rum producers and carry the imprint of tropical, mellow aromas. This finishing step gives the whisky a distinctive angle on the classic Bushmills profile: layering aniseed and caramelised sugar without compromising the everyday drinkability the brand is known for.
