Villa de Varda built its reputation as a grappa producer in Trentino, but the InQuota project shows they understand whisky too. This single malt is distilled in the heart of the Dolomites and finished in casks that previously held Passito di Pantelleria — a sweet Italian wine from the island of Pantelleria.

The Passito cask finish defines the whisky's character: the nose opens with citrus and spice (cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon), tree nuts (hazelnut, walnut), pear and honey, layered beneath fresh wood. The palate is malt-forward, with traces of that wine-derived sweetness coming through from the finishing casks.
