Hibiki Mellow Harmony

Hibiki was introduced in 1989 by Suntory as a celebration of Japanese craftsmanship and the concept of 'wa' – harmony and oneness. This blended malt draws from multiple distilleries, including Yamazaki and Hakushu, and matures in five distinct cask types: American white oak, sherry casks, and the rare Japanese Mizunara oak. The philosophy prioritizes balance over intensity.

On the nose, Hibiki Harmony reveals an elegant floral character – rose and orange blossom – followed by honey, ripe pear, and citrus zest. The bouquet is light and refined, with whispers of fresh oak. On the palate, the whisky is smooth and well-integrated, with honeyed malt, butter, and caramel layering alongside white chocolate and black pepper. The finish is long and spicy, with oak notes gradually emerging.

This blended malt stands as an excellent entry point to premium Japanese whisky – accessible and sophisticated in equal measure, without compromise on craft.
