Big Peat The Orange Edition

Big Peat
MacNamara Gaelic
MacNamara means 'son of the sea' in Gaelic – a name honouring the maritime heritage of the Scottish Hebrides. This blend comes from Pràban na Linne, a small whisky producer on the Isle of Skye that has focused on authentic Gaelic whisky since the 1970s. The choice of Gaelic labelling is deliberate: the Gaels invented whisky itself, and this bottling pays homage to that legacy.
It is a straightforward blend, distilled in both pot and column stills and bottled at 40% ABV. The whisky combines the rugged character of the Scottish landscape with a soft, balanced profile.
On the nose, mild and creamy impressions emerge alongside subtle oak and honey. The palate opens gently and aromatically, with pleasant oak and spice notes that lead to a clean, balanced finish. This is not a complex dram, but rather a reliable, unpretentious Scotch blend that wears its simplicity honestly.
