Sherry Cask

The Famous Grouse was established in 1896 by Matthew Gloag, named after the bird that roams the Scottish Highlands freely. This blended Scotch has been a household name for over a century and is now produced by William Grant & Sons. The Sherry Cask variant deepens the classic profile: the blend is finished in Spanish oak sherry casks, drawing out warm dried fruits and toffee character.

The blend of roasted malt and grain whiskies, enriched by the sherry cask finish, achieves balance between smoothness and flavour depth. Vanilla and sweet fruit notes lead, supported by subtle oak that provides structure without overwhelming the blend.

This is an approachable, everyday Scotch with enough character to hold interest. Well-suited to anyone seeking a hint of sherry influence without venturing into heavily peated or robust territory.
