The Akuto family has been making alcoholic beverages since the 1600s in rural Saitama, Japan. Ichiro Akuto's father ran the Hanyu distillery before Akuto founded Chichibu in 2008. This Limited Edition is a world blended whisky drawing malt and grain whiskies from Japan, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, and the USA — a deliberate exploration of the globe's major whisky-producing regions.

The blend marries Chichibu's local production with carefully selected international whiskies. The result is refined and approachable: the nose opens with fresh fruit (peaches, bananas, apples) and citrus; the palate develops vanilla and dried fruit (raisins, currants); the finish is medium-long, with honey, green tea, and salty liquorice threading through.
