Shizuoka United S First Edition blends distillates from two separate stills at the Japanese distillery, founded by Taiko Nakamura. The 'S' in the name reflects the character of this specific combination. This is the sixth single malt release from Gaiaflow Shizuoka, crafted from both Japanese and European barley, with a portion lightly peated at 35ppm.

Matured in ex-bourbon barrels, ex-bourbon quarter casks, and new oak casks, the whisky gains a distinctive balance between vanilla and toast without the weight that new wood often imparts. The interplay of three cask types creates an unusually layered profile for a young Japanese whisky.
