Dewar's Double Aged

Ballantine's Finest
Chivas Regal XV
Chivas Regal XV traces its lineage to 1801, when John Forrest opened a grocer's shop in Aberdeen. Brothers James and John Chivas built on that foundation, and by 1909 they had created what became recognised as the world's first luxury Scotch whisky. This 15-year-old blend launched in 2018 as a statement piece: finished in Grande Champagne Cognac casks—a rare choice that sets it apart from standard Speyside offerings.
The Cognac cask finish is the defining feature. The blend itself draws from Speyside whisky stocks, and that secondary maturation adds a layer of sophistication without compromising the approachability that Chivas is known for.
On the nose, expect orange marmalade, honey and cinnamon, moving into stewed pears, caramel and toffee on the palate. The finish is medium-length: cinnamon, toasted oak and soft fruit notes that warm the throat pleasantly. This is a rounded, composed blend—not showy, but assured and well-made.
