Ballantine's VERY OLD

Ballantine's Finest
Tribute Release
Ballantine's traces its roots to 1827, when George Ballantine, an Edinburgh grocer, began curating a selection of Scotch whiskies alongside his produce. This 17 Years Tribute Release sits within a series honouring iconic music figures—a contemporary echo of the brand's original ethos: discovering and celebrating excellence.
As a blended Scotch, this expression marries malt and grain whiskies in proportions guarded by Ballantine's Master Blender. Bottled at 48% ABV, the high strength intensifies the flavour profile beyond standard releases, drawing out deeper character from its component whiskies.
The nose opens with ripe orchard fruit and gentle vanilla-toffee sweetness. The palate develops dried fruit and a whisper of green apple, supported by a full body that reflects 17 years of maturation. The finish lingers with warm oak and persistent fruit—a measured, unhurried close.
