John Jameson was a Scottish lawyer who established his distillery on Bow Street in Dublin in 1780—an unlikely beginning for what would become Ireland's most celebrated whisky. Single Pot Still represents a return to that original craft: made from malted and unmalted barley, triple-distilled in copper pot stills, a method distinctly Irish.
This Five Oak Cask Release matures in five different cask types: Irish, European, and American virgin oak, combined with ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. That blend of fresh and seasoned wood creates the whisky's distinctive character—sweet and spiced in equal measure.
On the nose, honeycomb and salted caramel fudge emerge alongside ripe fruit, laced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. The palate is rich and chocolatey, with dark fruit that gradually gives way to spice and orange peel. This is Irish whiskey as it was meant to be—unpolished, complex, rooted in tradition.
