Octomore was born from a collaboration between legendary Master Distiller Jim McEwan and Bruichladdich's then-owner Mark Reynier. The name honours Octomore Farm, perched on a hillside above Port Charlotte on Islay's west coast—a place woven into the distillery's identity. This is the 14th edition of what is widely regarded as the world's most intensely peated whisky.

The 14.1 was distilled from 100% Scottish malted barley peated to 128.9 ppm—an exceptional level of smoke that few rivals match. Aged for five years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled without colour or chill-filtration at full cask strength of 59.6%.
