Dean's Finest Old Scotch

Long John
Johnnie Walker Double Black
Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky that pushes the brand's signature toward intensity. Where Black Label seeks balance across regions, Double Black concentrates on the smoky characters of Scotland's west coast—particularly Islay-style malts—and matures them in deeply charred oak casks to deliver a far more intense, peaty profile.
This is not a subtle blend. Double Black was explicitly designed for drinkers who want the full force of smoked, peated whisky without reaching for a single malt. The name refers to that doubling of smokiness and intensity relative to its older sibling.
On the nose: honeyed at first, then quickly overtaken by smoke, bacon, and tar. The palate brings a full, dry strike with hints of bonfire and charcoal, before honey and honeycomb return in the finish. This is a blend that skews far closer to Islay single malts than to a national-average Scotch—full-bodied smoke, no compromise.
