CANDID The New Disclosure Expression

Loch + Glen Scotia Double Cask
Poit Dhubh—Gaelic for 'black pot'—honours the illicit stills that once dotted the Hebrides. Produced by Pràban na Linne, founded in 1976 by Sir Iain Noble on the Isle of Skye, this blended malt celebrates the tradition of clandestine whisky-making and the smugglers' craft that defined Scottish Highland history.
This 12-year-old expression is non-chill-filtered and partly matured in ex-sherry casks, balancing smoky character with sherried sweetness. The blend draws from island and highland malts, creating a profile that reflects the peaty heritage of the Hebridean region.
On the nose, soft smoke mingles with liquorice and a subtle citrus note. The palate is smooth with a touch of dryness, where peat and vanilla from the sherry maturation sit in quiet harmony. A whisky that wears its history lightly—unpretentious, character-driven, and rooted in Skye's smuggling past.
