Port Charlotte Barley
Port Charlotte, the historic distillery founded in 1828 by Laird Walter Frederik Campbell of Shawfield and named after his mother Lady Charlotte Campbell, exists today as a whisky brand under Bruichladdich's ownership. This Barley expression draws from Scottish barley—sourced from farms across Islay and beyond—reflecting Bruichladdich's commitment to provenance and transparency in every bottle.
Heavily peated and matured in standard casks, it reaches 50% ABV with a character distinctly its own within the Islay spectrum. This is not a brute smoke bomb, but a balanced peated dram where the grain shines through.
