Elijah Craig Single Barrel
Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon tracing its lineage to 1812, when Elijah Pepper established his distillery in Woodford County. This expression stands apart through an unconventional grain bill: 52% wheat, 20% malt, 20% corn, and 8% rye. That blend delivers the bourbon's signature fruity and floral character, with more than 200 detectable flavor layers.
Matured in new American oak and bottled at cask strength (66% ABV), this is a full-bodied, structurally intense whiskey. The nose reveals vanilla, honey, and light oak, followed by apple, apricot, and orange. On the palate, dark chocolate and caramel emerge, with subtle notes of nutmeg and cinnamon holding the spirit in balance.
This is bourbon for those who appreciate complexity without spectacle—a classical American whiskey that carries its heritage without leaning on it.
