75Th Anniversary Douglas Laing XOP

Distillery Jericho
Old Perth was founded in 1908 by Peter Thomson, a Perth grocer who built a reputation for his whisky blends. The brand vanished in the 1970s but was revived by Morrison & Mackay, reclaiming Perth's heritage as a whisky centre. No. 4 is a blended malt combining several Highland single malts, with Aultmore as the core distillery — a distinction from blended whisky, which also includes grain spirit.
Bottled at 43% ABV, this expression showcases the character of sherry-matured malt. The nose is full and sweet, offering dried fruit, brown sugar, and vanilla. On the palate, a syrupy texture carries notes of red berries, dates, and subtle leather, providing real weight. The finish is warm and lingering, with oak and a whisper of spice.
