Single Barrel
Cellar Aged
Maker's Mark Cellar Aged marks a milestone: for the first time in 70 years, the distillery releases an age-stated bourbon. This blend of 11-, 13-, and 14-year-old bourbons emerged from Rob Samuels' vision to unite the house's oldest barrels—a tribute to the legacy that began in 1953 when Bill Samuels Sr. burned his family's 170-year-old recipe to create something better.
Composition varies by release. The 2025 edition blends 74% 11-year-old, 10% 13-year-old, and 16% 14-year-old bourbon, bottled at 56.45% ABV. This mix delivers a full, layered spirit—not the soft, approachable signature of standard Maker's Mark, but a deeper, spicier expression.
On the nose, dark brown sugar, toasted almond, and caramel. On the palate, cinnamon, bakery notes, and hints of leather follow. The finish lingers long and warm, with cherry, chocolate, and nutty undertones. This is bourbon that commands attention without pretense—it speaks of craft and patience.
