In 2019, Diageo and HBO released a limited series of whiskies celebrating the final season of Game of Thrones, each dedicated to an iconic house of Westeros. Talisker was chosen to represent House Greyjoy—a fitting pairing: the family rules the Iron Islands and worships the Drowned God, much as Talisker draws its character from the wave-beaten shores of Isle of Skye.

This Select Reserve is a non-age statement bottling crafted to showcase the distillery's maritime signature. The craggy, storm-lashed coastline of Skye leaves a distinct imprint on the whisky, reinforced by maturation in heavily charred casks that amplify the smoky, briny character.

On the nose, smoldering peat mingles with sea salt and hints of tropical fruit. The palate bursts with salted caramel and chili heat, underpinned by peppery smoke. The finish delivers fruitcake sweetness and lingering salt—a whisky that embraces rather than softens the ruggedness of its island home.
