Kavalan began in 2005 with an ambitious vision: to craft 100% Taiwanese single malt whisky. Founder Tien-Tsai Lee partnered with Ian Chang, a chemist and Master Blender trained in Scotland, to realize this dream. The name 'Concertmaster' reflects Lee's passion for classical music—a philosophy of precision, harmony, and craft that shapes the spirit itself.

The Concertmaster Port Cask Finish matures in Sherry, Port, and Bourbon casks, nourished by Taiwan's subtropical climate and pure glacial water from Snow Mountain. This combination accelerates maturation, concentrating rich, complex flavors into a relatively young whisky.
