MC of the Isles
Antony McCallum, a Scotch whisky veteran with 24 years' experience as malt master and blender, established House of McCallum in the late 2010s as a tribute to his heritage. Clan McCallum's roots run deep on Scotland's western isles—a landscape that defines his whisky's character. MC of the Isles is a blended malt that embraces this island identity: smoky, salty, and bearing the maritime notes typical of these regions.
This whisky was finished in rum casks, adding warmth and depth to its smoky foundation. The interplay between island malt and rum cask influence creates compelling tension—smoke and salt are softened by subtle vanilla and toffee from the wood.
On the palate, MC of the Isles reveals smoked grain, sea salt, and caramel, with a long, lingering finish of smoke and mineral salinity. A whisky for those who embrace character and complexity without compromise.
