Sherry Cask

Famous Grouse was established in 1896 by Matthew Gloag in Perth, named after the wild grouse that inhabit the Scottish Highlands. The brand grew to become one of Scotland's most trusted blended Scotch whiskies and is now owned by William Grant & Sons.

The Sherry Cask expression represents a recent expansion, crafted by maturing selected Speyside malts in Spanish oak casks seasoned with sherry. This imparts a richer, sweeter character than the brand's classic profile.

On the nose, dried fruits and vanilla emerge alongside subtle malt notes. The palate reveals poached pear and citrus fruit, balanced with toffee and oak tannins. The finish is warm and lingering, with a spiced edge that reflects the sherry cask influence—a departure from Famous Grouse's typically delicate house style.
