Bicentenary Blend
In 1820, John Walker opened a modest grocery shop in Kilmarnock, setting in motion what would become a whisky legacy. Two centuries later, Master Blender Jim Beveridge honoured that heritage with the Bicentenary Blend—a release that transcends mere celebration. Drawing from John Walker's original tasting archives, Beveridge assembled exceptional 'ghost stocks' from legendary, now-closed distilleries: Pittyvaich, Cambus, and Port Ellen. Each component has matured for a minimum of 28 years.
The blend was crafted from whiskies representing just 1 in 10,000 casks—the rarest available—and finished in Cognac casks to add the depth and complexity characteristic of Johnnie Walker Blue's finest expressions.
On the nose: layered aromatics of exotic fruits, cinnamon, soft smoke, figs, and candied ginger. The palate mirrors this refinement with sweetness, spice, and subtle peat, balanced by vanilla and almond. The finish is smooth and lingering, with gentle spice that fades gracefully.
A bottle for those who don't merely drink Johnnie Walker's history—they experience it.
