Amontillado Napoleon Cask

Islay Mist was created in 1927 by Ian Hunter at Laphroaig to mark the coming of age of John Granville Morrison, son of Lord Margadale. The blend still carries the laird's seal—a rare honour among Islay bottlings, as most whisky from the island is single malt. Laphroaig forms the backbone, supplemented by carefully chosen malts from Speyside and beyond.

This limited 8 Years Amontillado Napoleon Cask release emerged from collaboration with Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana in Jerez, Spain. Only 7,000 bottles were released. The amontillado finish layers caramel, hazelnut, and sweet spice over the smoky foundation.

On the nose: toasty peat grain with stone fruit, sea spray, and grape notes. The palate balances peat with plum and raisin, touched by sea salt, caramel, and chocolate. A blend that honours Islay's character without overwhelming it.
