Both Barrels Cask Strength
Lower East Side is a blended malt crafted by The Borders Distillery in Hawick, Scotland's first distillery in the Borders region since 1837. The blend draws from five different single malts across Scotland: two from the Highlands, two from the Lowlands, and one from Islay. This composition gives the whisky breadth without tying it to a single regional character.
Matured in American oak, Lower East Side presents itself as smooth and approachable. Honey and almond lead the palate, supported by soft vanilla and a subtle, grassy undertone. A whisper of toasted oak and fresh citrus adds dimension without demanding attention.
This is a whisky for those seeking balance in a blended malt—no heavy peat, no sherry dominance, just solid craftsmanship.
