Double Agent Special Edition

Dewar's Double Agent is a travel retail exclusive created in 2022 by Stephanie Macleod, Dewar's Master Blender, and launched at Singapore's Changi Airport. The whisky embodies a dual-cask strategy: the spirit is aged in two separate batches, one finished in Oloroso sherry casks and the other in ex-Islay malt casks, then married together. This approach creates layers of dark fruit, honey, and warm spice across 16 years of maturation.

Despite its modest 40% ABV, the whisky reveals an unexpectedly rich, oily mouthfeel—a testament to its extended aging. The nose opens with ripe apricots and grilled peach glazed in heather honey, followed by toasted clove and nutmeg on the palate. Dark chocolate and roasted almonds add depth, while the finish remains silky with fresh orchard fruit and a whisper of smoke from the Islay cask influence.
