Chivas Regal's story begins in 1801 as an Aberdeen grocer and evolves into one of Scotch whisky's enduring icons. In 1909, Master Blender Charles Howard and Alexander Smith created a 25-year-old blend that became the world's first luxury Scotch. The 18-year-old expression represents the pinnacle of this legacy: a carefully composed blend of over 20 single malts and grain whiskies sourced from across Scotland, each component aged a minimum of 18 years before marriage.

On the nose, marmalade and citrus peel lead the charge, joined by orchard fruit (apple, pear), vanilla, buttery toffee, and subtle spice notes like nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is full and rounded, delivering creamy vanilla, dark chocolate, and butterscotch with barely a whisper of smoke—approachable yet layered. Winter spices and oak emerge in the mid-palate without dominating.

The finish is soft and lingering, toffee and oak gradually receding. This is a blend where its many components meld rather than jostle—a statement in restraint and balance, proof that luxury in blended Scotch need not mean complexity for its own sake.
