Kilmory Edition

Lagg opened in 2019 as Arran's second distillery, built specifically for heavily peated single malts. The Kilmory Edition is its flagship core release, named after the village near the distillery—a place steeped in Arran's own history.

Matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration, this whisky uses Concerto barley and peat sourced from the north of Scotland, giving it a distinctive island character.

On the nose, smoke and peat lead, joined by vanilla and a whisper of lemon. Heather and dried hay add texture beneath. The palate opens with a porridge-like grain sweetness, then smoke and fire wrap around tropical fruit—particularly lemon and citrus—creating tension against the peat. The finish is long and layered, smoke, vanilla, and citrus lingering together.
